Battery Life Calculator

Estimate the runtime of a battery under load.

Typical value 0.7 for Lead Acid, 0.85-0.9 for Li-Ion/LiPo. Efficiency is rarely 100%.

How long will my battery last?

The theoretical battery life is calculated by dividing the capacity (Ah) by the current consumption (A).

Time = (Capacity / Current) × Efficiency Factor

Peukert's Law

For lead-acid batteries, high discharge rates significantly reduce the effective capacity. This calculator uses a simple efficiency factor approximation which works well for most modern electronics (Li-Ion, NiMH) at moderate discharge rates.
