The Four Kinematic Equations

These equations describe motion with constant acceleration:

  1. Velocity-Time: $$ v = v_0 + at $$
  2. Displacement-Time: $$ x = v_0t + \frac{1}{2}at^2 $$
  3. Velocity-Displacement: $$ v^2 = v_0^2 + 2ax $$
  4. Average Velocity: $$ x = \left(\frac{v + v_0}{2}\right)t $$

Where:

  • v: Final Velocity
  • v0: Initial Velocity
  • a: Acceleration
  • t: Time
  • x: Displacement ($\Delta x$)
