Calculate your semester Grade Point Average (GPA) using the standard 4.0 scale.

Understanding GPA

Your Grade Point Average (GPA) is a number that represents the average value of your accumulated final grades earned in courses over time. The most common scale is 0.0 to 4.0.

How GPA is Calculated

To calculate your GPA manually:

  1. Convert your letter grade to points (A=4, B=3, etc.).
  2. Multiply those points by the credit hours for the class.
  3. Add up all total points.
  4. Divide by the total credit hours.

Example: An 'A' in a 3-credit class (4.0 ร— 3 = 12 points) and a 'B' in a 3-credit class (3.0 ร— 3 = 9 points).
Total Points = 12 + 9 = 21.
Total Credits = 3 + 3 = 6.
GPA = 21 รท 6 = 3.5.
