How to Estimate Tiles
It's crucial to buy enough tile for your project, plus extra for cuts and breakage. A standard waste factor is 10% for basic layouts and 15-20% for diagonal patterns.
- Measure Area: Length × Width of the floor or wall.
- Calculate Tile Size: Convert tile dimensions to the same unit as the room (e.g., sq ft).
- Divide & Add Waste: Divide Room Area by Tile Area, then multiply by 1.10 (for 10% waste).
