Privacy Policy

Your plans stay under your control.

This policy explains how Floor Plan Maker handles information when you create, measure, view, import, and export floor plans on Android.

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Floor Plan Maker Android application, published by Toolbox Calcs. Floor Plan Maker is a local-first floor-planning application and does not require an account.

In short: Toolbox Calcs does not operate a cloud service that receives your floor plans, imported documents, exported plans, or live camera frames. Advertising and AR components are provided by Google and may process limited data as explained below.

2. Information handled by Floor Plan Maker

Plans and settings

Project names, room names, dimensions, walls, openings, objects, materials, and app preferences are saved in app-private storage on your device.

Imported reference files

Images or PDFs you choose through Android's document picker are accessed only to display and calibrate a reference plan.

Camera and AR data

Camera frames and motion-sensor information are processed live to provide AR measurement. Floor Plan Maker does not save camera frames as photos or upload them to Toolbox Calcs.

Exports

PDF and PNG exports are created in temporary app storage and are shared only with the destination you select.

3. Advertising and Google services

Google Mobile Ads

Floor Plan Maker displays banner, interstitial, and app-open ads using Google Mobile Ads. Google states that its advertising SDK may process an IP address, product interactions such as app launches and taps, diagnostic information, the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and related device identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. An IP address may be used to estimate general location.

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices before eligible advertising requests. Available choices can also be reviewed from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside Floor Plan Maker.

Google Play Services for AR

This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Floor Plan Maker does not use ARCore Cloud Anchors or the ARCore Geospatial API.

4. Android permissions

  • Camera: requested only when you choose AR measurement. Refusing it does not block manual planning features.
  • Internet and network state: used to request ads, consent information, and Google services.
  • Advertising ID: may be used by Google Mobile Ads, subject to your consent and Android settings.

Floor Plan Maker does not request access to contacts, microphone, calls, SMS, or precise location.

5. Sharing

Toolbox Calcs does not receive or sell your plan content or camera frames. Limited advertising data may be processed by Google as described above. If you export or share a plan, the app or service you select receives that file and applies its own privacy policy.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

6. Storage, backup, retention, and deletion

Projects and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear Floor Plan Maker's app storage, or uninstall the app. Temporary exports may remain in the app cache until Floor Plan Maker or Android clears them.

Depending on your Android and Google backup settings, local app data may be included in an encrypted system backup or copied during device transfer. These features are controlled through your device and Google account settings.

Data processed by Google is retained according to Google's policies and the controls available in your Google and Android settings.

7. Your choices

  • Grant or revoke camera permission in Android settings.
  • Review available ad choices inside Floor Plan Maker settings.
  • Reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.
  • Delete projects in the app or clear all app storage.
  • Choose whether, when, and where a plan is exported or shared.

8. Security

Floor Plan Maker limits exposure by keeping plan content in app-private storage. Google states that Mobile Ads data is encrypted in transit. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect access to your device and review files before sharing them.

9. Children

Floor Plan Maker is a general floor-planning tool and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country. Toolbox Calcs does not knowingly collect children's plan content or camera frames on its servers.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Floor Plan Maker's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
