Privacy Policy
Your plans stay under your control.
This policy explains how Floor Plan Maker handles information when you create, measure, view, import, and export floor plans on Android.
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Floor Plan Maker Android application, published by Toolbox Calcs. Floor Plan Maker is a local-first floor-planning application and does not require an account.
In short: Toolbox Calcs does not operate a cloud service that receives your floor plans, imported documents, exported plans, or live camera frames. Advertising services are provided by Google and Meta, AR is provided by Google, and premium models are delivered from secure asset hosting, as explained below.
2. Information handled by Floor Plan Maker
Project names, room names, dimensions, walls, openings, objects, materials, and app preferences are saved in app-private storage on your device.
Images or PDFs you choose through Android's document picker are accessed only to display and calibrate a reference plan.
Camera frames and motion-sensor information are processed live to provide AR measurement. Floor Plan Maker does not save camera frames as photos or upload them to Toolbox Calcs.
PDF and PNG exports are created in temporary app storage and are shared only with the destination you select.
When you voluntarily watch a rewarded ad and earn an unlock, the entitlement is saved in app-private storage. The selected 3D model is then downloaded over HTTPS and verified before use. The asset request does not contain your floor plan, project name, room names, or camera content. As with most web requests, the hosting service may receive an IP address, request time, requested file path, user agent, and basic network or diagnostic information.
3. Advertising, consent, and third-party services
Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network
Floor Plan Maker displays banner, interstitial, app-open, and opt-in rewarded ads through Google AdMob. AdMob mediation may select Google or Meta Audience Network to serve compatible ad formats. Rewarded ads appear only after you choose to watch one to unlock a premium asset, and the app grants the unlock only after the advertising SDK confirms the reward.
Google and Meta state that their advertising technologies may process information such as IP address, app and ad interactions, device and operating-system information, diagnostics, the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and related identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, personalization where permitted, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. An IP address may be used to estimate general location. Floor Plan Maker does not send your plans, imported documents, exported files, or camera frames to these advertising providers.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices before eligible advertising requests. The consent form describes the participating advertising partners and available personalized, non-personalized, consent, or opt-out choices for the applicable region. Available choices can also be reviewed from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside Floor Plan Maker.
Premium asset hosting
Unlocked premium 3D models are downloaded from Toolbox Calcs' HTTPS asset hosting. Standard server logs may be used to deliver files, maintain reliability and security, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse. Premium unlock status and downloaded models remain on your device; the asset host does not receive your plan content.
Google Play Services for AR
This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Floor Plan Maker does not use ARCore Cloud Anchors or the ARCore Geospatial API.
4. Android permissions
- Camera: requested only when you choose AR measurement. Refusing it does not block manual planning features.
- Internet and network state: used to request ads, consent information, Google services, and premium 3D asset downloads.
- Advertising ID: may be used by Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Meta Audience Network, subject to your choices, applicable law, and Android settings.
Floor Plan Maker does not request access to contacts, microphone, calls, SMS, or precise location.
5. Sharing
Toolbox Calcs does not receive or sell your plan content or camera frames. Limited advertising data may be processed by Google and Meta as described above, and standard request logs may be processed by the premium asset hosting service. These providers apply their own privacy terms. If you export or share a plan, the app or service you select receives that file and applies its own privacy policy.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
6. Storage, backup, retention, and deletion
Projects, preferences, earned premium entitlements, and downloaded premium models remain on your device until you delete them, clear Floor Plan Maker's app storage, or uninstall the app. Temporary exports may remain in the app cache until Floor Plan Maker or Android clears them.
Depending on your Android and Google backup settings, local app data may be included in an encrypted system backup or copied during device transfer. These features are controlled through your device and Google account settings.
Data processed by Google or Meta is retained according to their policies and the controls available through their services and Android settings. Standard asset-server logs may be retained as reasonably necessary for delivery, security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
7. Your choices
- Grant or revoke camera permission in Android settings.
- Review available ad choices inside Floor Plan Maker settings.
- Reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.
- Manage Google and Meta advertising preferences through their services.
- Delete projects in the app or clear all app storage.
- Choose whether, when, and where a plan is exported or shared.
8. Security
Floor Plan Maker limits exposure by keeping plan content in app-private storage. Premium asset downloads require HTTPS, and advertising providers state that they use safeguards for their services. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect access to your device and review files before sharing them.
9. Children
Floor Plan Maker is a general floor-planning tool and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country. Toolbox Calcs does not knowingly collect children's plan content or camera frames on its servers.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Floor Plan Maker's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
